what game is the best for online play over xbox live?

i will wait to judge this after GTA has come out, because from reading some of the stuff people have said, it could potentially be the best multiplayer game ever released.

thus far though, id probably say Gears of War or GRAW2. i have had the most fun online playing those two games.

halo 3 is both the best online game for the 360 and the worst. the online play is brilliant but can be ruined by the fat sweaty nerds with no life who pretty much live on it and you would most probably be handing out abuse to

microsoft actually gave me a warning because someone filed a complaint against me because i asked some nerd that obviously hadnt been out in years and was being a complete dickhead "when was the last time you were able to see you penis???.....2 maybe 3 years ago???"

but if your looking for online gameplay id say halo 3 and gears of war
